Open Gaming ScheduleThe point of Open Gaming is to allow players to play games that we don't usually have a chance to. If you want to run something, let me know and I'll put it on the schedule. |
Official Hero-Clix TournamentScott Lang will be running a DC Hero-Clix tournament for open gaming in September, at the Factory Point Bank at Noon. We'll be playing with 300 point teams. Contact Scott, Andy Farrell or Dennis Pratt for the largest collections of minis. If you're nice, maybe they'll let you borrow some. :) |
40K on Friday NightsWhat better way to start the weekend than to crush an opposing army? The regular Friday night game at the bank has petered out for the summer, but if you're interested in starting up again, contact Scott Lang or Andrew Loveridge to let them know. Contact Greg Wilcox for details about the bank, since he should know more about it than I do. |
Babylon 5 Fleet ActionAnyone interested in fighting space combat in grand scale should contact Erik Rutins. We have ships from the major races that you can borrow if you don't have your own fleet. |
Fairy MeatIt's been a while since we've played, but we've got the basic rules and all the stick-on fairy wings a wargamer could want! Contact Patty Rutins if you're interested in playing. |
Painting MiniaturesAdvice, critique, etc. will be freely offered if you want it; if you don't, that's fine too. For those who want a lesson, I'll be glad to go over the basic techniques including shading, washes and dry-brushing: you too can get great detail on your figures with a minimum of effort! Please bring whatever paints and brushes you have; if you don't have any, you can certainly share mine. Bring whatever miniature you're interested in painting -- if it's a unit, bring a few of them. If you can, you should prime the figure(s) so that they're dry and ready to go. Contact me for rescheduling preferences. Alternate Thursdays aren't working so well anymore, so I'd like to move it to another night. Perhaps alternate Wednesdays? Contact Patty Rutins for info; directions here. |

Fantasy MiniaturesLooking for the perfect character, or for an entire army of screaming barbarians? There are a number of mail-order stores on the internet, and Under The Moon in Bennington carries the GW Lord of the Rings line. They don't keep a huge stock, but if you ask they might order more. The Northshire Bookstore also carries some miniatures, plus some boxed paint sets. |

GangstersAlthough the trusty GM moved away (come back, Jim!), we fondly remember the Gangsters miniatures games he ran for us in a beautifully constructed miniature replica of a Chicago street in the 1920's. If anyone's interested in running a game like this for us, please say so! |
