Plan

Not all is as it seems in the galaxy. A Dark Force from the past slips it’s tendrils into the foundation of the Dragon Empire. Watching... waiting... moving silently in the shadows; it whispers to the downtrodden and malcontented, promising dreams of glory and vengeance. The Ancient Enemy has returned. Now, on Tikula Prime in the Outlands, a group of heroes searches to find a way to expose the conspiracy and save the galaxy.

GM input: For this campaign, I drew heavily from Babylon 5 & Farscape for inspiration. The rules and game style have elements from Deadlands and Traveller mixed in. And I’m still adding to the mix... The game is set mainly in a developing part of the Outlands, so I try to convey a frontier feeling. As the plot progresses, there will be more techno-punk elements thrown in.

Setting

5000 years ago, the Dragon Empire was born out of blood and fire. A brutal civil war between the Chromatic dragons and their cousins, the Metallics ravaged the galaxy. After years of senseless loss and suffering, the dragons came to realize that no one could win such a war; the very galaxy was threatened by their continued feuding. They came to a compromise; peace was made. Each of the 10 major Dragon Clans would chose a leader. The leader of each clan or house, as it later came to be known, would rule the Empire for 1,000 years and then pass the reigns of power to the next house in line. It began with the Metallics and as the years passed, the Empire knew peace between the houses. Now, 40 years into the Reign of Mezzenbone the Red, the Chromatics have the Throne. Peace still reigns...for now.
