TIME LINE OF IMPORTANT EVENTS

2110-2147

2110            U.N. creates space branch of Security council under  United States command.  Space station Alpha completed around Mars.

2125            U.S.S. Enterprise II space carrier completed.

                Takes command of U.N. first space armada.

2139            Nathal Empire takes control of Earth in a surprise attack.  U.N. ground forces are defeated.

2140            U.S.S. Enterprise II's armada defeats Nathal forces in a vicious battle around Saturn

2141            The first space armada along with forces from the Rebel Federation retake Earth and with Earth gained control of the Milky Way.

2141 Feb        Several high level Nathal scientists and officers defect, stealing.  The Nathal's experimental warship Red Thunder.

2141 December        Capt. Gregory Westner takes command of the Avenger.

2146            After five years of intense conflict the Nathal empire Recognize the U.F.A.P. as an official galactic government and the Treaty of Veargin is signed.  The U.F.A.P. make their official headquarters Earth

2147 January    The Avenger returns to the Dry-docks around Earth for repairs and upgrading after dealing with some unknown threat.  Unconfirmed reports that the Relentless was also involved start to spread. Several southern states declare their independence and the C.A.S. (Confederate American States) is formed.   Tensions between the two governments escalate and war is declared.  The U.F.A.P. at first declare neutrality but after the C.A.S. attack on Space station Liberty and her dry-docks the U.F.A.P. declare war on the C.A.S.  The C.A.S. has been rumored to have secret talks with the Nathal Empire.  Sonya Blade is convicted by a military council of using excessive force in her attempt to subdue a teammate after he killed a police officer.  Although it was later deemed accidental (A force-field he was using failed as she struck what should have been a KO blow) she is suspended from active duty for 60 days.  The civilian team she was with disbanded shortly after the conviction.

2147 April      The U.S. Civil war ends after U.F.A.P. forces storm the C.A.S. Capital.  The C.A.S. surrender realizing that they do not have the firepower to win against both the U.S. and the U.F.A.P. The United States is once again united.  Small-scale unofficial skirmishes take place between U.F.A.P forces and Nathal Imperial forces in U.F.A.P. space.  They are believed to be the support fleet for the C.A.S. trying to slip back out of U.F.A.P. space.

2147 July       After Sonya Blade is put on trial for supposed illegal activity, President Alander in a surprise move to protect Sonya reveals the existence of the Black Lance, A covert military organization responsible for protecting the Universe as a whole against the Da’hakan menace.  The military tribunal pardons Sonya.  Many political annalists believe that Alander gave up any chances for re-election with this revelation.   

2147 September  Acting outside of the U.F.A.P. several U.F.A.P. citizens participate in a Military Coup of the Empire lead by Grand Admiral Kathara and the Relentless.  In a stunning turn of events Sonya Blade kills the Emperor and because the Emperor never changed her status as an active agent for the Empire by his own law she becomes the Empress.  Many ships and planets immediately swear loyalty to the Empress.  The remainders either become Warlords or retreat to the outer reaches of the Empire to try and regroup. 

2147 October    After forming a provisional Council for the newly formed N.P.A. (Nathal Planetary Alliance) and finalizing trade agreements with the U.F.A.P. Empress Sonya Blade officially returns to Active duty in the Black Lance to the objections of several council members.  Others see her as the symbol of future relations with the N.P.A. and realize that the U.F.A.P./N.P.A. relations are crucial to peace efforts.

2148 January    After months of criticism led by Councilman now candidate for President of the U.F.A.P. Ji’rin Sonya Blade announces her retirement from active duty.  In protest to the perceived undue pressure put on her to resign several veterans of the war with the Nathal Empire who have voiced their concerns over Candidate Ji’rin also begin retiring.  This wave or retirement is putting strain on the defensive capability of the U.F.A.P. both in manpower and combat experience.  Many of the retiring veterans have privately stated that they will come out of “retirement” if Alander manages to be re-elected and hope this delays the coming storm if Ji’rin is elected.  Field Adm. Westner refuses to comment further to reporters on what he deems, “A completely political maneuver to force a hero of the U.F.A.P. to retire because she followed her heart instead of her head.  It seems that our onetime enemies, now potential allies have more respect for what she has done then the U.F.A.P. that she nearly gave her life for so many times.”

2148 February   Admiral Seti is arrested as a result of a raid in the Lyrin system on a terrorist cell.  Questions begin to arise over the reports on what happened during this raid.  On the thirteenth of February an alien race calling themselves the Locar Empire attack the Black Lace at their bases as well as attacking the U.F.A.P. drydocks in the Ta’charin system.  Remnants of the Empire along with the remaining Da’hakan forces attack the N.P.A.  During this attack a secret meeting was taking place of several different intergalactic and Extradimensional races to form a mutual defense force with Grand Admiral Serena Thrawn in overall charge.  On the sixteenth of February all governments involved in the conference officially sanction the I.E.D.F. and a joint declaration of war is signed against the Locar/Imperial/Da’hakan forces.  Black Lance facilities are hit again in an attempt to knockout one of the rapid response forces involved.  Home One is nearly destroyed and the Lance begin disassembling it and regrouping at a secret location, apparently knocked out of the war.

2148 March      Admiral Seti is freed by the Locar and most high-ranking PSI Core personal defect to the Locar side.  The U.F.A.P. attempts to lock down the remaining PSI Core personal until Lance’s PSI Core can sort the issue out.  Two days later under information Admiral Seti gave to them the Locar attacked Earth and the N.P.A. with a massive force.  The I.E.D.F. Black Lance, N.P.A. and U.F.A.P. forces managed to repel the attack but took heavy losses.  Initial estimates state that the Locar lost the approximation of four fleets and most analysts believe that the Locar will not be following it up any time soon.  The U.F.A.P. settles in to the slow process of finding the Locar who landed on Earth and capturing them as well as repairing there ships.  The N.P.A. steps up security and production at all military facilities leaving a fleet in defensive orbit around Earth.

2148 May        The N.P.A. have an emergency council meeting on the increase demands of the military on the population.  It is decided by a slim margin to lift the ban on military cloning.  The U.F.A.P. reacts with harsh criticism on the decision.  News reports indicate a massive buildup of Locar forces in the captured Algeir system.  There is now an uneasy cease-fire in affect while the N.P.A. considers the Locar’s offer of peace.  The Taylon Guard, the N.P.A. counterpart to the Black Lance has apparently withdrawn its ships from Earth’s defense.  Unsubstantiated reports site them forming up in task forces outside of the Algeir system. Ji’rin has realized his chances for election have started to fade as popular support swings in favor of President Alander due to her handling of the war effort.
